Since 20% of the total morbidity, 30% of allergic diseases and 70% of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract are related to toxicants in food, we should only welcome the movement for organic agriculture in Central Asia.

Farmers with organic grown potatoes

First issue

It is necessary to create a ranking map according to the degree of suitability of land for organic farming. This is due to the fact that in the territory of the Tien Shan and the Pamirs a significant amount remains: a) radioactive substances [7; 4], ; b) stockpiles of obsolete pesticides [2; 3; 8]; and, 3) other harmful substances (mercury, arsenic, cadmium). All these substances are washed into rivers and irrigation canals [6; 7; 9]. Toxicants enter plants, vegetables, meat, milk [5], which reduces immunity, especially in children and adolescents [11].

In addition to production, there are areas of Tien Shan and Pamir soils with significant concentrations of substances of natural origin – uranium, strontium, arsenic, mercury, and others. In recent years, unfortunately, there is little eco-mapping carried out by modern GIS methods. Many publications of 15-30 years ago, including ours, are outdated [1].

Second issue

Illiterate product promotion. As we observed by the announcements and labels on products (sent from Kyrgyzstan to foreign countries in 2013-2015) – many products are not only declared organic, but also have a therapeutic effect. As for the therapeutic effect, one must be careful and have clear justifications. If you rely on the USSR Pharmacopoeia – many herbs, fees, berries, animal fat extracts, mummies – are not officially recognized drugs.
Better to advertise this kind of product, use links to authoritative books on traditional medicine. The older and more authoritative – the better – Avicenna, Ayurveda, Paracelsus, etc., respectively with the country of consumption. You can make a screening on the impact on the performance of 3 types of experimental animals (as is customary to determine the effect of new drugs) and refer to the publication in an advertisement. There are other options. Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to convince – the need for more reasonable advertising labels
